Flying

Cooper had his first flight on May 7th. We flew to Texas to see my family. We had an early morning flight leaving at 6 am. He did a good job. We had to wake him up at 4 to get on the road and thankfully he slept the whole way to the airport. He woke up when we got to security because we had to get him out of his carseat. The flight is just under 3 hours. My plan was to nurse him during takeoff and I did. He flew asleep for maybe 5 minutes and then he decided flying was interesting so he stayed awake for an hour and half. He wasn't crying just looking around and spitting up nonstop(there was some bumps). His clothes were soaked and I hadn't packed any bibs! He also decided to poop right when the seat belt sign came back on and the drink cart was blocking me in! After the cart passed, I grabbed my bag and coop and headed to the bathroom. There was surprising a lot of room in there for changing a baby! I did feel like crying when in there because I just felt so overwhelmed. It is stressful flying with a baby and worrying about not disturbing others! I changed his diaper and got him undressed only to realize I had left his onesie at my seat, so I left him undressed and went back to my seat and got him dressed. After that I rocked him to sleep and he slept the second half. He woke up when we were just about to get off and started fussing, but thankfully that was only 5 minutes! All in all his flight was a success. On the way back we had an evening flight and he did great with no crying! We are flying to Virginia in 2 weeks so we'll see how he does being a little older. He is the youngest Starliper to fly!
