Solid food

We started Cooper on solid food when he was five months. We started giving him rice cereal and oatmeal. He likes the rice better. At 6 months we introduced fruits and vegetables. He likes fruit better than veggies but he is a great eater. He knows when he sees the spoon he needs to open his mouth. In the beginning he wouldn't eat solids very well if he had just nursed so we had to feed him solids first and then nurse. He also would get distracted while eating, but now he does much better. He normally gets solids twice a day, we are trying to watch him to see how much he wants. I thought I would be sad to feed him more solids since I love nursing, but it is so fun to see him growing and seeing his likes and dislikes with food. I can't wait until he gets more teeth so he can eat the good stuff! These pictures are of his first feeding ever! We didn't have baby spoons on hand so we had to use these little spoons that attach to food pouches, but we quickly realized that would not work. We also got a high chair after a while because he was getting too wiggly and messy while eating.
