blogging question

I tried uploading pictures but it said I have used all of my storage on my picasa account, but it said I still had storage on my gmail and google drive. Does anyone know how to get pictures from your google drive to your blog?

Thanksgiving 2012

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year by ourselves. It was our second year of doing it so now it's a tradition. We enjoy cooking our own dinner and just having the whole day to relax and enjoy each other's company. This year we couldn't find a turkey breast so we ended up buying a small whole turkey. Matt had an interesting time trying to divide up the meat so it could fix into our crockpot. In the end it turned out great!  Even though the food was delicious I was missing my family and I cannot wait until we go to Texas in about 3 weeks. Hopefully Matt will get into a PhD program that will be closer to family.

Halloween 2012

Normally for Halloween while I have lived in Utah I would go to Breanne's house for a party with my roommates. When she moved Matt and I threw a party, but this year we decided to for go being the party throwers and be party goers instead this year. We went to the Crafts Halloween party and we are glad we did! It was so fun and it was nice to have a chance to dress up. This year we dressed up as Aristocats. It was fun to do a couple costume and to be able to make most of our costume.

At the party

This is us playing the game total blackout. We were blindfolded and we had to guess what 4 secret items were just by touching.
Item #1 - A man's hair

Item #2- Live worms in dirt
Touching the worms

Item #3- Brush (it was taped to the bottom of the container so every time  Matt touched the bristles they would move and make a noise- this item scared me the most!)

Item #4- Mashed potatoes- I knew the texture but its so hard to remember  how you know when you are scared.

Matt and I won the game! We guessed all 4 items correctly and our time was 1 minute 30 seconds!

Matt was adamant about painting his face- in some pictures it looks like he has a bad sunburn

Pumpkin Carving

Today for family home evening, Matt and I carved pumpkins for our activity. I normally don't enjoy carving pumpkins, because I can never come up with a creative idea of what to carve and I get bored before I'm finished. Tonight was different though, I looked up free stencils online and was excited about our design. I taped the stencil to the pumpkin and I did a light cut into the surface of the pumpkin then peeled off the paper and had Matt do the actual carving. Maybe that was why I enjoyed it more this time.  ;)
Carving it up!

Maybe the main reason we carve the pumpkin- SEEDS!

Hello Fall!

I can't believe the last time I blogged I was doing a recap of September and now it's almost time to do a recap of October! Time has been flying by! Part of the reason time has been speeding by is I was busy subbing everyday in my 4th grade class. My last day was on the Monday it was so bittersweet, I feel like I really bonded with the class and many remarked that I seemed like their real teacher because I have taught them longer than their actual teacher. Matt and I both seem to have a sore throat/cold right now. Matt is way worse and is almost losing his voice, but thank goodness it's not strep, but we think we're on the mend. Matt registered for his last semester at BYU this week- so crazy! It's been hitting me lately that we don't have that much time left in good old provo. I'm trying to enjoy our time while it lasts. It's also weird to think that wherever Matt goes to school won't be another BYU campus, it will be interesting to leave in a college town that isn't all members.

Since it is almost the end of October the weather is changing! There is talk of snow now! With this weather change Matt has decided that it is time to start listening to Christmas music. I love it! We're a year round Christmas music loving family, but we try to wait until the Holiday season and the cold weather.

Other fall happening in our home:
I voted!

The school I subbed at is a title 1 school so every Tuesday and Thursday they get a fruit or vegetable snack. This is a rambutan. It has a texture of a slimy grape and has a cotton candy taste.

Allie was able to come for Conference weekend! We got frozen yogurt while the boys were at the priesthood session.
