Matt's First Last Day at BYU

Matt LOVES school! Today was his first last day at BYU. After this year he is hoping to get into a PHD program, so he still has 4-5 years of school ahead of him! Good thing he likes it so much. It was weird for me not to be going to school with him. I love buying back to school clothes and getting new school supplies, so that was definitely a change for me. I did wake up and take him to school,so I got to be on Campus a little bit today.

How I spent the day- unpacking :(

For Family Home Evening(FHE) Matt gave a little spiritual lesson and then we went on a drive to our place. This is where Matt proposed to me 601 days ago.

Last of Summer

When I first got my car I named her Candy Apple, because she is candy apple red. Mainly I just call her Candy though. On our way to Texas at this summer- Candy was having some problems, but we were able to get everything sorted out,but since we did have a lot of car troubles the way down we were nervous our way back to Utah. Thankfully she did GREAT and we made it back to Provo safe and sound! Way to go Candy!
Day one

Day two!

Yes I took these on my phone and I edited them in instagram.
But the skies really are beautiful on this drive.

One day we will explore southern Utah instead of just driving by.

my hair bow- I was bored so I kept playing with my hair

This mini diploma was waiting for me when I got back. It's meant for my wallet and on the other side it says welcome into the Alumni society- I guess to prove that yes I really did graduate.

Cocoa bean cafe- our favorite cupcake place. We missed it all summer!
Phat Monkey, Grasshopper,Berry Bliss, and Luscious Lemon Blueberry!

We are happy to be back!

Galveston

It has become a tradition in my family to go to Galveston in August every year. This year was our second year to go and we loved it! Matt and I both love the water- we are normally the last ones out of the ocean. I hope that Matt and I will be able to go to the beach with my family for many more years!

The hotel pool

Our favorite pizza place on the island- Mario's. They give the kids dough balls to play with while dinner is cookie. Tucker loved his and Chars just kept trying to eat it.

Matt got a really bad sunburn the first day!

On the beach!

These next few pictures are from the Duck tour. Its this car that is able to drive on land and water. It takes your around Galveston telling you some of the island's history.

Chars just sat on grandpa Miller's lap the whole time just taking everything in

some of the group- Audrey,Allie,Tucker,Dad, and Charlie

Our favorite Mexican place- La Tortuga "The Turtle"

The huge burrito Matt and I shared. There's an eating contest based on this burrito at the restaurant- we didn't find out the rules, but we're guessing its who can eat it the fastest, because we couldn't image someone being able to eat more than one of these.

Matt and I being silly- I'm the king of the world!

The drive home- bunheads

Mom did her hair like us,so we were trying to get a picture. This was the best we could manage.
Mom- "looks like you are trying to photo bomb my picture."
Allie- "You know what photo bomb means?!"

Hams,15, Glee project

After the wedding on Friday we decided that we wanted we wanted to take a trip to Ham's orchard for some Ham's burgers and homemade ice cream. This has been a yearly tradition for my sister Allie and I and we were excited for rest of our family to go with us. When we got there we found out that it was the second to last day that they would be open for the summer! They apparently only do burgers in July so we missed out on those, but we did get their homemade ice cream. This ice cream is made from the strawberries and peaches they get from their orchard- it is SO GOOD! Chars loves peaches so we got some for him and a peach cobbler for dessert the next day. It was a fun trip!

Matt and I have been married for 15 months on August 13th. We aren't the kind of couple who celebrates every month, but we did happen to take a few iphone pictures so I thought we would share one. I love him.

My best friend Donovan and I would watch glee project every Tuesday together this summer. Donovan and I have been friends since our Sophomore year in high school. I'm really lucky that I am still really close to most of my high school friends. I love spending time with Donovan, because he always makes me laugh and he has always been super respectful of my religious beliefs. Even though we live in different states and only get to see each other a few times a year, I'm so glad he is still my best friend.

Abanga and Liv

Lots of celebrating has been going on in the month of August. On August 10th my cousin Liv married her best friend Abanga in the Dallas Temple. It was such a wonderful sealing ceremony and it was great to reflect on my sealing to Matt. I LOVE going to temple and it was great to see Liv and Abanga get married for time and all eternity! After the temple we went to this great Italian place for the family luncheon! The best part of the night by far was the reception, Abanga is normally a pretty quiet guy,but at the reception he was doing African dances and was being the life of the party! It was so fun to see him let loose and to see this other side of him. Another favorite part of mine was their first dance, they danced to a 1000 years by Christina Perry aka Bella and Edward's wedding song! They also had such cute decorations, pinterest inspired of course! It was a great day and I'm happy I was able to be apart of it.

I like this picture because of Abanga's face-
it looks like he just realized that he is now married  haha
