Moving Cross Country

Matt and I started our move to Massachusetts on July 5th. We rented a small U- haul and stuffed it to the brim! We hated the packing process and realized being married 2 years makes you acquire A LOT of of stuff! We spent the majority of the 4th packing and cleaning and it was not fun. Thankfully Allie and our friends April and Jeff helped us out or we would have been worse off. We were nervous about our car hauling a trailer, but she did great! It took us 5 days to get there and we went through Wyoming,Nebraska,Iowa,Illinois,Indiana,Ohio,Pennsylvania,New York, and then finally got into Massachusetts. We also got to stop at Kirtland and Palmyra( 2 church sites). I had never been to either so it was fun being able to go with Matt. There was so much history and a special spirit there.I quickly realized that we live on the east coast, because of the HUMIDITY! It is awful, Matt gets so sweaty so fast, we also had to buy bug spray because this muggy weather attracts all bugs. I do love how green it is and it has been fun figuring out a new city. Here's to the next 5 years in Western Mass!

4th of July Provo Style

For the 4th of July we ran the freedom 5k in Provo. It was great being able to reach this goal that I had been working towards since March. We ran with our good friends the Blodgetts which was so nice having someone to share the fun with. I trained with April and we ran next to each other the whole race. We had a great partnership going and we would push each other to always do better. I'm hoping to do more 5k in the future and maybe even a half marathon!

After the race we watched the parade. Later I went swimming with allie. Then we spent the rest of the day and night packing and cleaning. It was an interesting 4th.

I pulled a muscle in my foot 3 days before the race.
