A quick trip

A couple of weeks ago Matt and I drove down to Virginia for a cousin's wedding. It was a quick trip, but while there we were able to do a lot of fun things. We ate lots of good food especially MEXICAN! We went to a Washington Nationals game, where it went to the 13th inning, we only stayed until the 11th! We only stayed until the 11th and we made the most of the experience by eating cotton candy and pastrami/cuban sandwiches! The ballpark is literally right off the metro, it was cool to basically hop right into the game.

While in Virginia I was able to meet up with Chelsea one of my dearest friends. We met a noodles and company for lunch to chat up. She then drove us into D.C. where we went to try this cupcake place Baked and Wired. It was good, but I think I still prefer Georgetown  Cupcakes. We went shopping at Tyson's Corner and just enjoyed being together. Chelsea said that I'm her friend that she has hung out with in more places than anyone else. We met in Provo, I  visited her in Seattle, she came to Texas for my wedding, we met up in Salt Lake in April( I'm counting it as a different place since we don't live there anymore) ,and now Virginia! I love that we follow each other around.

On Sunday was our cousin Sarah's wedding. The whole reason for our trip down there. It was at this beautiful location in Maryland. The ceremony was under a tree and it was so beautiful and loving. She had the same ministers that married her parents and used the same vows they used over 30 years ago. The reception was such a party. The d.j was great and got lots of people up and dancing! It was a really fun night, where we got to see all the Starliper clan.

Another thing that we have to do while in Virginia is eat at Cafe Rio! We had just make a copycat meal of Cafe rio a week before we came out and having the real thing reminded us just how good the real thing is and how off our recipe is. I love that the cafe rios on the east coast have free refills on their horchatas! I also cut my brother Andrew's hair while I was there and it turned out great. Matt's mom took us shopping and got us a ton of fun treats to take back with us! It was a great trip and we are hoping we can make another trip before next summer since this year is Christmas in Texas!
