Coop Visits Virginia

We went to Virginia at the end of June beginning of July.Coop was able to meet lots of family members and friends. We were excited for him to meet his great grandparents since he is the first great grand baby on Matt's side.
It is only an hour flight and he slept the whole time

Saying goodbye to the Bowens

Our first and best friends the Bowens moved to Utah in June and it was a hard goodbye. The Bowens were our downstair neighbors for their first year here and we enjoyed having game nights with them pretty regularly. We also both had our first babies here together just 4 months apart.  It was so nice having a friend that was the same age living the same experience that I was too. Hopefully a visit will happen soon!

Strawberry Picking

Back in June we took advantage of living in the country and went strawberry picking. Just down the street we have a strawberry field called Warner Farms. It was a fun outing as a family and the fresh strawberries were so delicious! They tasted extra sweet and we enjoyed cooking and eating them. Can't wait to go next year!

Matt's first Father's Day

I love to celebrate so I was excited to do Matt's first father's day. I made him breakfast and bought him a few treats. Matt doesn't "like" presents so I try to get a few things that I knew he would like or he needed.  Matt is such a great dad to Cooper and I love seeing them together. I'm excited to see their relationship grow over the years! Happy Father's day to the best!

Family Picture at Church

Fourth of July

We had a pretty low key fourth. We traveled home from visiting Matt's family in the morning. So we spent most of the day napping and then we headed to the church for our ward party. We grilled hotdogs and spent time with friends. We ended up leaving before the fireworks, because of Coop's schedule. Hopefully next year we will be able to enjoy a fireworks show together as a family.

Five Months

We are quickly approaching the big half birthday. Cooper is such a joy and we love having him in our family. He had his first bite of "solid" food last night. We gave him some oatmeal he was confused by the experience. He still only sleeps about 3-4 hours at a time, so we are hoping that with introducing more food into his diet he will stay fuller longer and he able to sleep through the night any time now. He also likes to sleep on his side with his feet up on the bars of his crib.He can roll over from his tummy to his back and he is rolling onto his side from his back so getting close to rolling that way too. He spits up way less now, so we are SUPER happy about that! He loves to drink water and has started watching us eat so it will be fun to start sharing food with him over the next month. He loves to put everything in his mouth and he seems to be uncomfortable,so hopefully a tooth will show up this month so he won't be in pain so often. He loves to smile, but he doesn't giggle. He does laugh sometimes though.
